Hello and Welcome to Lawrence Allen Custom Glass.  

 

  Thinking back to where I began with this craft, I think glass actually found me.  My sister was taking classes and showed me what she learned.  I made a few projects, and then I moved away leaving the hobby behind.  Years later my parents showed up bringing all my scraps of glass and tools.  The craft was not going to let me go.  Soon I was working with glass as a part-time hobby, and this time it wasn't going to let me go.  

 

  Originally my work involved stained glass work, a process that I learned as a teenager.  Later down the road I took a fused glass class (melting glass in a kiln) and was intrigued by the flexibility and endless opportunities that melting glass allows.  I went out and bought a kiln and began experimenting.  Since then I have combined both disciplines to create unique and interesting art work.

  My private studio is located in the Denver Metro area, but my work has travelled to many places in and outside of Colorado.  I enjoy working with clients to refine their ideas and introduce possibilities that might not know exist.  I hope you enjoy the photos on this site and maybe we'll be talking soon.
